Every time I get a phone call I can’t hear it’s like the person is far away or even a very low whisper. I have to put my phone on speaker to hear them. Any suggestions on what to do to fix the issue

Volume When receiving a phone call I cannot hear the person on the other end, I have to put them on speaker which is giving me no privacy. What is wrong with my phone?

If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker
