Apple Iphone "hardware warranty" coverage

Hello I was wondering what the Apple Iphone hardware warranty covered? Does it cover broken/cracked screens? I am considering getting the AppleCare+ coverage but I'm not sure if it is necessary.

iPhone 11, iOS 15

The standard warranty does not cover physical damage, such as broken screens, cracked backs, water damage, etc.
