how to disable inline pictures in Mac OS

I am working with a camera club and send and receive many pictures. How do I disable the inline feature and show pictures as normal attachment. At the moment I have to use Spark as a secondary client when mailing pictures and 1 page pdf

How do I avoid photobooth when attaching photos to messages/emails? When trying to upload a photo as an attachment to an email, or to WhatsApp, or Message, I choose 'photos' under the Media option. But half the time, it defaults to Photobooth and doesn't allow me to select the Photo library from the Photo app. Sometimes it offers me the choice of Photobooth and Photos. It's frustrating and makes no sense as it changes from day to day (without any other changes to my MacBook). I know I can select a photo and 'share' and pick the messaging/email app, but that's not always convenient (ie, in the midst of an email thread or similar). Any help much appreciated.

Photos as Attachments Not all photos showing when attaching to email. In preferences, "Use as System Photo Library" is greyed out. My OS is Mac Monterey 12.6. How do I ensure that photos are saved as jpegs rather than heics so they can be used across systems? Or can heics be used across systems? New Mac Systems are annoyingly less user friendly than past ones. Apple seems to be slowly and inexorably sliding down the Microsoft hill....

Hi langeland43!

It sounds like you would like to show photos as normal attachments in Mail, and we're happy to help. To do this, you can compress the files before attaching in Mail. Another option would be to put the images into folders and attach the folder.
