Does it cover the Apple Pencil Tip? I dropped it on its tip and the tip got squashed and it's no longer operatable.
I noticed there is a $29 fee for replacing the pencil itself, but what about for the tip?

I just got off the phone with an Apple Representative and they said the only thing they could do is replace the pencil. So, instead of getting a replacement tip, I will get a replacement Apple Pencil for $29.
I would just buy replacement tips but for $29 might as well get a new pencil.

Pencil tips are a consumable item; they wear out. Neither the limited warranty nor AppleCare will cover the pencil tip.
I know what AppleCare+ is, and I understand that if the Pencil is defective, then you can get a replacement. However, the Pencil is not defective, the tip is damaged which is not covered. However, if you have spoken to Apple and they will replace the Pencil, then go right ahead. But, as LotusPilot has said, the tips are consumables, and will wear, or as you found, can get damaged. At some point, you will not be able to get the Pencil replaced, and would need tips. My son damaged his, so I bought a box of 4, gave him 2 and I kept 2. I've not had to use one yet, but I have them.
Dropping the Pencil is user damage and is not covered under warranty. You can purchase replacement tips at the Apple Store or online.
I appreciate this comment and although it is true accidental damage is not covered under the manufacturers warranty, I am referring to Apple Care +. This is a seperate coverage you can purchase seperate from the warranty and this covers accidental damage.
It does specify that the Apple Pencil itself can be replaced for $29 under this coverage (accidental or not) but I just need a replacement tip. So, I'm wondering how that works. On the Apple Store tips are sold in packs of 4 for $20. At that price I might as well pay $29 for a whole new pencil. If the replacement for the tip is free then I'd just go that route.
