Apple TV 4K and LG Syn7 sound bar

I recently purchased the above noted sound bar so I could enjoy Dolby atmos and Dolby vision playback as my tv only outputs Dolby vision. However, my Apple TV seems to have stopped allowing me to select Dolby vision when hooked up to the sound bar. I’ve tried two Apple TV units. Also, now when it’s just hooked to the tv, Dolby vision at 60hz isn’t even an option now. Though it will still play Dolby vision off of Netflix and Disney. Anyways is the issue with the sound bar a compatibility issue or what might be their problem/solution?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We understand that your sound bar isn't working as expected with your Apple TV, so we'd like to share some information with you. Since the option to use Dolby vision isn't an option when the sound bar is connected, the best step would be to reach out to LG to confirm it's compatible: Contact LG.

It's also a good idea to make sure your Apple TV software is up to date: Update your Apple TV.

Thanks for the reply. It's certainly possible that it's not compatible with the Apple TV, so it's a good idea to start with LG. If you find out otherwise, reach out to Apple Support directly. Thanks, it is possible that it’s oddly not compatible with Apple TV’s Dolby vision. Wasn’t sure if it was an Apple issue or not.
