In what way is your home button not working? Is it not registering a click? Is it stuck pressed in? Is it cracked? There's just not enough information.
However, most issues with a nonworking home button may be caused by a hardware failure or damage, which in that case, you'd need to get the iPad serviced at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider.
