With IOS 15, default browser & other Issues

With IOS 15, embedded links when using my iPhone go to safari instead of my default browser, Duck duck go. Also, when my google next doorbell sends a notify to my phone, I no longer have the option to simply view it from the notify screen. I know have to click to open the app and then see who’s at the front door which is a very slow process.

To make the DuckDuckGo app your default browser you need to go to settings > DuckDuckGo > default browser app, and then deselect Safari.

It’s not enough to just choose DuckDuckGo as your default search engine.

As for viewing notifications without opening the app, that’s just an iOS 15 feature - there is no way to rectify it.
