simple question. I have a USB stick with many docs and spreadsheets that I would like to use on my new IPAD PRO 2021. The IPAD does not have a port for USB. Is that a way to download into the IPAD from a USB Stick? Is there a converter I can stick in?

There are USB-C to USB-A converters you can purchase. You can find one on the Apple Store app, or you can look at an electronics store such as Best Buy, etc..
