Has the search function changed?

It's been a while since I last purchased songs from iTunes (on my MacBook Air). What am I missing? I see no results? I randomly chose the song covered in the latest commercial for this post/question- it has no significance. Do I hit "return" or tap on the arrow to get results? Please see 2 screenshots below. Is something wrong with my app? Thanks in advance.

iTunes search has been broken for a while. What's the secret? iTunes Version 12.9.4.94, macOS 10.14.4 (18E226) It seems iTunes has a bug requiring you to put the song title first and then ONE and only one word from the artist's name if you want to zero in on your search. Is this true? To set the stage: I want to hear Juicy, by Doja Cat. The song is in my library, and I'm an Apple Music subscriber. For what it's worth: I added it from Apple Music. Using my local library as the source: If I search for [Juicy], I find that track plus another famous "Juicy": the one by Notorious B.I.G. If I search for [Doja Cat], I get everything in my library from Doja Cat. Juicy is in there, sure, but so is everything else that I have by Doja Cat. Finally: searching for [Juicy Doja Cat] returns nothing, until I began writing this post and discovering the flaws. As I tried different ways of searching, I noticed that [Juicy Doja] works, but [Juicy Doja Cat] does not. After a little more investigation, it seems [song title + any one word from artist's name] works (in that order) but if you reverse the order and go [any one word from artist's name + song title] it's no joy. Another example is the song [Everyday] by [Logic]. If you search for [everyday logic] you'll find it, but search for [logic everyday] and it's not found. Is it just me, or is this how it is for you? If not, I'd love to figure out how to fix this broken experience.

Apple Music search bias? Example, I had to type the full name when searching for the album “Two Jims and Zoot” because simply typing “two jims” yielded results from Bebe Rexha, Justin Bieber, and other more “current” music. I understand people listen to more of that stuff than deep catalogue Jazz from the 50s but if I type a term that is actually included in the title why wouldn’t it come up? There’s so many examples where something like this has happened. Search should not be so algorithmic! Apple please fix!

Did you click iTunes store at the top right of the main window? See the following from Buy music from the iTunes Store - Apple Support

Open the Apple Music app.
Use the Search bar to find the song or album that you want to buy.
Click the iTunes Store button in the upper-right corner. Don't see the iTunes Store?
Click the price next to the song or album to buy it.
Sign in with your Apple ID and password to complete the purchase. Need help?

After you buy music, you can find it in your music library.

To download music to listen to offline, find the song or album in your library, then click the Download button

Thanks. I highlighted it at the left margin. The search field used to be at the upper right corner on my older MacBook. Every time there’s a software update (or upgrade?) a few things change. I can’t keep up. Thanks
