Why doesn’t my 2020 MacBook Air have the M1 chip?

Because it was manufactured prior to November 2020, when the M1 version was released.

First off whatever your smoking I suggest you get off it. Make no sense? Can you read. Your car analogy is off base. A car manufacturer is always going to make the next model better. However, they wouldn't release the better model in the same year they released a new design like Apple did in 2020 with the Air. The MacAir 2020 was released twice new design and end of the year the M1. What car manufacturer would do that? Also, what the reason behind not introducing the M1's all at the same time with this years 14" and 16" Pro/Max. Again, tell me any car has been released twice within the same year and tell me when Apple has ever released two Macs in the same year except for 2020?
