Monterey 12.0.1. Second Monitor Issue

Still the same problem happening. Upgrading to Monterey 12.2 but I learned it does not fix the issue. Very sad 😔

People said this when 12.2 came out. Are you sure it's fixed here?

I will be installing this as soon as I can do without my laptop for half an hour with fingers crossed!

I have the same issue on a Macbook air m1, Monterey Os.

MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) and just updated to 12.3 (21E230) and same issue :(

12.3.1 did NOT fix things for my Apple laptop. I guess I'm being punished for spending $4,600 on a MacBook Pro (before tax) rather than buying a Mac Mini.

Don't bother even thinking about buying a Mac Mini: My Mac Mini 2020 is affected too.

Well, at least now I know I'm not alone, and that it's a macOS problem. Will we have to wait for the next major version of the OS for a fix? I hope not!

Shame on Apple. This problem did NOT get fixed with macOS 12.4. What an embarrassment heading into to WWDC. This problem has been well known for nearly seven months now.

Did the latest updates May 2022, no, 2 external monitors on mac mini don't work unless I unplug and replug them in after restarting computer.

I have tried the same setup with my son's Macbookpro and no problem he connects fine.

So I know it isn't the adapter, tried both VGA and HDMI, it doesn't work, I then uplug from mine and plug in my son's and it is fine.

His is slightly earlier version on Macbook Pro, works fine, I will have to check his GPU when he gets home.

Mine and wife's Macbook Pros same GPU as each other and they don't work.

No. that is not a combination listed, and I cannot afford to be trying things that are not part of Apple processes. I did however shutdown and restarted a number of times, and it was not until I had a chance to search the web that I found out that there are a lot of users having the same problem.
