Unable to add account in Mail

Hi guys! For some reason I'm unable to add a account in my mail application. It's stuck on this screen:



I clicked Add Account then selected Google. It's just stuck on a little loading window. My internet/wifi is fine so I'm wondering why it's stuck like that.


Any help/recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.0

  • Your email provider needs you to update or reset your password for security reasons. For example, if you're using Google’s two-step verification, your Gmail account in Mail requires the appropriate app-specific password.
  • Your email provider deactivated or suspended your account. Contact your email provider for help.
