Second iD on an iPad

I want to loan my iPad to an employee. My apps are the best part, and I want her to use them, but I don't want to give her my Apple iD and password. Can we add a second Apple iD to the same iPad so that she can use my apps and add some of her own? I see mixed messages on this. If it matters, it's a 2016 iPad.

You can only use one Apple ID on a device at a time. Apple's mobile devices aren't designed to be shared. Ideally you would erase it and then let the other person set it up. Be careful because potentially this could lock it to their account and it would absolutely require their information to sign out in order for you to be able to use the device again.

Thank you for your incredibly fast reply! Given a choice, I would rather she use my iPad with my apps and NOT be able to add new apps. Mine are sufficient for her needs. I wonder if I should simply loan it to her as is, removing apps that are personal instead of professional, but not provide my Apple ID. She can then use it without being able to add anything new. Would that work instead? She won't be using it for email or notetaking - only the free and paid educational apps.
