Head tracking setting won't show up on iPhone

Hey there! My problem is that the head tracking function does not work when I'm listening to music on my iPhone, but it works with my iPad. Both are updated to the latest version of iOS and iPadOS.

I tried enabling it in Settings » Accessibility » AirPods but then I realised that there is no option for it on my iPhone. Any suggestions to solve this problem?

Hi there Teoszmer,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here in Apple Support Communities! We understand you're unable to turn on the head tracking feature for spatial audio on your iPhone. We're glad you're here, and we can provide some guidance.

To begin, you'll want to be sure your AirPods are connected to your iPhone and you have spatial audio turned on. Learn how in the 'Turn on spatial audio' section here:

Listen with spatial audio for AirPods and Beats

Afterwards, are you able to turn on Head Tracking in Settings > Accessibility > Switch Control? Have a look at the 'Use Head Tracking on devices with a TrueDepth camera' section in this support article for details:

Use Switch Control to navigate your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know what you find, and we'll take a closer look from there.

Cheers.
