Dynamic head tracking on Mac not working!

Hi there,

I am trying to get the head tracking feature working while listening to compatible content (i.e. music from the Apple Music App or Video from Apple TV+) via my Air Pods Pro on my M1 Macbook Pro.

My AirPods Pro are properly connected and in the Sound Menu from the Menu Bar the "Head Tracked" Feature is visible and selected. I just made a comparison (that is: I watched the first second of the TV+ Show Suspicion) first on my Macbook. While watching I turned my head from left to right but the sound did not change, especially the sound was not fixed to my Macbook's screen. Right after that I did the same with my iPhone 13 Pro. And it worked, meaning the sound was fix to the iPhone's screen and when I turned my head it still felt, as if the sound was coming from my iPhone.

Two Questions:

Does Head tracking work at the Mac at all the same way it does on the iPhone / iPad? If no, what is the difference? And if yes, why is not working on my Mac?

Thaanks a lot,

Stefan

I don't use Spatial Audio but see if this helps…
