Bluetooth only connection for watch

Can Apple Watch stay paired to my phone via Bluetooth only when I am out in the world? The reason I bought it is because o can’t have phone out at work but can’t miss certain messages

Apple Watch Bluetooth keeps searching!? Hey guys! I have a series 7 Apple Watch, I “paird” it with my iPhone 11, or so I thought. When I go into my phones Bluetooth settings it says it’s paird, but when I go into the Watch Bluetooth settings..the searching circle pops up and dosent recognize my phone? I get notifications and texts just fine, but I’m confused…is it paird or not?

Bluetooth Connection Hi, I just purchased the iPhone 13 and paired with my Apple Watch in the store. When I got home, my watch is no longer showing up in my bluetooth devices nor can I detect any devices under bluetooth settings. Am I missing something? Or should I go back to the store?

As long as your iPhone is within working range of your Watch you will have full communications.
