Hi there, Mikebook Amateur!
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have an issue with incoming calls ringing your Mac, but not your iPhone. On your iPhone, are you able to make calls normally? Do you receive calls when you are not close to the Mac?
Make sure your iPhone isn't set to silent and Do Not Disturb is off:
How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode - Apple Support
Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
Let us know if that helps you see calls on your iPhone.
Cheers!
Thanks for the update!
So let;s see if you have the same issue with you turn Wi-Fi calling off on your iPhone:
Make a call with Wi-Fi Calling
Next, we recommend taking a look at this article with steps to follow for How to use safe mode on your Mac. This will perform checks and stop certain software from starting up automatically. Once you are in safe mode, test to see if you have the same issue.
Keep us posted!
Hi AplleJen,
Thanks for replying. Yes my phone works normally, however in my location we don't have cell coverage, so it works through the internet. Phone is not set to Do Not Disturb or Silent. It doesn't happen all the time- perhaps 75% of the time it doesn't ring on the phone . I also have an iPad that rings even though the phone doesn't. Now that you mention it, there are sometimes that i do not receive calls on my phone even when away from my Mac.
Thanks for your help!
Mike
Thanks for helping. I don't have cell coverage at home, so if i turn off WiFi calling i won't receive any calls. Will try the safe mode.
