I can't get Google Earth Pro to start on my MacBook Air Catalina 10.15.7. Can anyone help me? I have downloaded the app a couple of times, but each time I "open" it, it opens for a couple of seconds, then closes.

Make this a Login Item:
Boot in Safe Mode. In Safe Mode, Login Items do not open at login. See if this no longer pops up. Then, look at your Login Items and adding this to the list.
I’d contact their support next - make sure you tell them your mac OS version and your device model/specs.

Apparently, it's been available wince Mc OS 10.8 which is rather outdated. So, it may be that the developer needs to do some updating on their app - you may want to get in touch with Google support and ask if it is fully compatible with newer mac OS versions.
Thanks Babowa. I followed the instructions in the link you provided. I confirmed that I have the required OS, memory, RAM, etc; and the app seemed to download without any problem - until I got to the last step. Google Earth Pro simply doesn't appear in Applications, as the instructions indicate. So it doesn't open.
