Charging 16" MacBook M1 Through Wall and/or External Monitor?

Hey guys,

I just picked up the new 16 inch MacBook Pro and I'm super stoked to use it! I will be plugging it into an external monitor and was wondering if I should keep the wall charger plugged in while running the USB-C cable from laptop to monitor, or if I should rely solely on the USB-C to charge the computer? Not sure if there is harm in either one or if there's a best option.

If you connect more than one power source, your Mac charges only from the adapter providing the most power.

The M1 is power efficient, It really makes no difference... The M1 will choose the highest power input as a charge plug...

As long as you get 67W and up there should be no problems…

Do you know if the USB-C would provide enough power to keep it charged at all times?
