how it can happen that suddenly thousands of iPhone X users are experiencing the same issue? I think same kind of thing we saw when Apple has started slowing down the earlier versions of iPhone after release of new ones. It started with the same thing that it could be a faulty hardware but I fail to understand how can a world class hardware fail just after a year or 2 of usage just after the new versions are out. These all are my observations and I am sure there are other users who are facing the issues. Apple guys should come out and tell about the root cause of this and get it fixed.

When mechanical things break they can do it quickly.
Failty hardware us warranted for 12 months but 2-6 years in places like Europe.
To suggest Apple is slowing down or degrading hardware by software is preposterous and would affect 200+ million iphone X's not "thousands"
Third option is your camera has a fault. The other two options are unlikely.
