Series 7 watch not charging

Hi my Series 7 Apple Watch stopped charging with the included USB C charge but still charges with the older USB B charger I own. I am using an Apple USB C adapter.

If the watch charges on an older charger, you may have just gotten a defective new charger. You have a full one year warranty on the watch and the charger. Take the charger to your Apple Store Genius Bar and if found to be defective Apple will replace it.

I went into the Apple Store. It turned out it was a faulty cable. They ended up just replacing it. Works great now.

That’s going to be my next step. I already restarted and it does charge with the charging cable from previous generations. I’m just reluctant to purchase a new USB C cable to try it. I posted to see if or was a common problem that perhaps a software update would address.
