Hi Vanos_suns,

Great question, and one we'd like to help answer as best we can.

While you wouldn't be able to read your child's text messages using Family Sharing, you could sign in with the same Apple ID you use, but this would enable them to also read your texts. This is something we do not recommend doing. We recommend keeping each of your Apple IDs separate on each of your devices.

You can also use Screen Time to limit the amount they use Messages, or disable it altogether, on their device. For more details, check out: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

You can also leave feedback at the Apple Product Feedback website.

Take care!

Apple treats all AppleIDs, even of minors, as private, personal account login IDs. Family sharing allows some parental controls, but it does not grant any parent direct or full access to the data their child has in their iCloud account.

The only way for anyone to read content associated with anyone else’s AppleID would be to ask that person to login to their account and show them.
