  • In Photos you can use the "Rotate counter clockwise" tool in the toolbar (the square with the curved arrow). If you hold down the options key, the tool will rotate clockwise.


  • In Preview you can use the menu items "Tools > Rotate Left ⌘L" or "Tools > Rotate Right ⌘R".
  • In the Finder, in Column view, select the file and use the quick action "rotate left" to turn the photo. Holding down the options key will change "rotate left" to "rotate right".
