You can set Automatic Updates to OFF so that your iPhone does not get updated automatically. Other than that, that notification is not going to go away once it is there. My recommendation is to ignore it if you can and do not update if you wish.

I have disabled automatic updates. Now I need to turn off the red notification, it bothers me. If this cannot be done then I feel uncomfortable with my iPhone and I will have to switch to Samsung
