why did I get a call and ask me to download anydesk when i switch my X to 13 pro. is this a legit call?

Security scam I went on Knowledge Burrow about the need for an audible app when a pop up recommended i download a vpn app. I was on DuckDuckGo and I immediately closed the window and after a second attempt I closed and cleared the data. I didn’t download anything and it looked sort of legit but still it didn’t seem right. Apple contacts me directly for a security update. In fact I just got one. Maybe this is an attempt to get around the latest update? I have an XR but am considering a 14. Also a new iPad. Is there any information on this?

No. All such calls will be scams. When receiving such calls, hang up no do not engage the caller.
