Garageband lost/mixed up tracks

I did the recent update for garageband and after that I realised some of my recorded tracks had disappeared. The track itself would there but the recording is gone or in some cases the first part would be gone. I've never had this before and I'm wondering if it's something to do with the new update(10.4.4)?

I even got a backup of this project from a USB stick just in case I'd accidentally deleted the recordings myself and opened them, the same thing happened the track was there but the recording (take) is gone.

I was able to find the Wav file via "show package contents" so should be able to piece it back together but it's annoying.
