I can't quit imovie

So i was trying to quit Imovie and suddenly it wouldn't let me go from the media tab to the projects tab and then it wouldn't let me quit, now it's stuck in some half full screen half not full screen faze and i can't click anything on it! I can't restart or shut down because i can't quit i movie, HELP!
