Based upon the information provided, it appears that you're only having an issue with one episode of Foundation not playing through the LG monitor that you have connected to your MacBook Pro.
If this is correct, let’s begin with some basic troubleshooting, if you haven’t done so already, and then work our way toward more complex ones. This will help us to isolate the issue further:
1 - Quit the Apple TV app on your MacBook Pro. If it will not quit, follow these steps to force it to quit: How to force an app to quit on your Mac.
2 - Restart your MacBook Pro: Go to the Apple menu in the top left corner of your screen > Restart.
3 - Launch the Apple TV app, and see if you're able to continue watching Foundation. If the issue persists, disconnect the LG monitor and try playing it only on the MacBook Pro.
4 - If the episode will not play through the MacBook Pro, restart your MacBook Pro in safe mode and test again: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac.
