Siri not hearing me since update to IOS 15

Unless I scream into my iPhone Siri won’t hear meIt also gives you the usual pin, only about 10% of the time. My microphone works fine, but my phone i really having a hard to understanding me. The problem began yesterday, when I received a notice in iTunes about an update to IOS 15. I have since updated my phone, but it made no difference. It is very difficult to even set up Siri, because it is having such a difficult time understanding me.

That was the first thing I tried. I can’t even set Siri up, anymore. Checking this forum I found others with the same issue. Also the mike works, as long as I hold the home button down first. I’m guessing that this is a software permission glitch. I eventually just removed automated tasks because of permissions. Tasks wouldn’t run in a locked phone. Still this problem is much worse, because Siri has become an everyday use.

That was my thought, but I’m going to wait until Apple fixes this issue in a new update, I’m not going to restore my phone quite yet. I’d hate to do all, and then download the same troublesome update.

thanx for the article, but I am unable to set Siri up, so I can’t turn it. This has occurred since the IOS update 15.

Thank you for that information. The next thing we would recommend is to get a good, current backup of your iPhone and then restore iOS on the phone.
