"Your Battery is not charging"
Why is it showing this? This is a brand new battery- 3 cycles. Why shouldn't it go straight into charging mode when I plug in the adaptor? 2020 MBP with Monterey.

This is pretty normal; I believe this came with macOS Big Sur pretty newly, so if you recently upgraded from another OS, this may not look familiar. This just means that the battery isn't charging at the moment, and your computer is using your computer charger as a source of power, and the battery isn't being used. Give it a few seconds and it should start using your battery for power, and start charging. If not, close the computer for 15 minutes, come back, and it should be charging.

Getting this to Charge:
It takes a few tries sometimes to get it to charge. While logged in, unplug, then plug in the power adapter three times. Wait a few moments after doing so. Look for it to begin charging. Happens often enough on my new MacBook Pro, and plugging it back in is always the solution.

Occurence:
It's not normal. But it occurs frequently for me.
