iPad pages app

despite turning my iPad off and back on when pages has loaded it seems locked and I cannot use it.

Usual would be restart (seemingly already done, here) then force-quit the app and re-open it, then delete and restart and then re-download the app (the intervening restart isn’t usually necessary, but there’ve been some reports where it was), and failing all that then call Apple Support using the Get Support link in the upper right,
