Track pad not working after OS 12 Monterey update

I updated my computer today to the most recent version of Monterey. The update appeared to go completely smoothly. However, I’ve lost complete functionality of the trackpad after the update. I can use the few keyboard shortcuts I know to see that things are working, I just can’t navigate with the trackpad. I’ve attempted to shut down and restart multiple times with no success.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.0

Problem solved. Needed a hardwired mouse to go in to flip an accessibility setting.
