iPhone 13 Muting a person during 2 way conversation on FaceTime

Hi - I think this is related to some sort of noise cancellation - but whenever I and another person are talking on FaceTime, it mutes the other person when I am talking. I can literally see their lips moving but no sound. Huge pain and there seems to be no option to turn it off (the noise cancellation option is no longer available for iPhone 13’s, even if that was the issue).

Hey there, zazzzaz,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. If we understand, when using Noise Cancellation, you are unable to hear the other person on a FaceTime call if you're talking. The Noise Cancellation will mute them. We're happy to help!

If you haven't already, try closing FaceTime: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support and restarting the iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support. Then, make sure you are running the latest iOS software available: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Does the issue occur only while using headphones? If so, see if it occurs with other headphones.

Don't hesitate to respond back if the issue persists.
