iPhone pro 12 camera freezing

Camera will freeze when focusing mostly on closeup or just randomly. I miss out on a lot of photos ...so frustrating

Camera freezes and phone restarts iPhone 12 Pro camera freeze and the phone restarts automatically. This occurs when shooting a video, taking normal photos and in portrait mode. When entering the camera app the freezing can start just by selecting a zoom. Even before staring to shoot or taking photos. In portrait mode it can freeze before the photos is taken or when pressing the shutter it takes a burst of photos and then freezes.

Phone 12 Pro Camera Freezing Issues my i phone 12 pro camera freezes after a while, like if I zoom it to the tv after a few the image will just freeze. So I swipe up then force close the app & then it’s just a black screen. Photo, portrait & video is black screen. But if I swipe over to Pano I do see images. Selfie cam also freez. experienced this problem??

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are having an issue with the Camera app on your iPhone freezing. If you haven't already, please force close the Camera app, restart your iPhone and make sure the software is fully up to date and test again:

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open
