Factory reset while erase button is not clickable

Hi! trying to factory reset my computer - On the Disk Utility page the erase button is there but not clickable. Can you help me out?

are you booted into the drive you want to erase? if yes, that's why it's not working.


to reset the mac back to original, please see these instructions: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support
