transfer pictures to my pc

When I plug into the USB it recognizes my phone and shows an internal storage image indicating 248 MB free of 29.8 GB. I click on it and shows a folder DCIM. I l click on that it shows a folder 105apple. I click on that and it shows one PNG file of 1.9MB. I have a lot of photos on the phone. I can't find them? I want to transfer them to my PC. I want to clear up space on my phone. My phone is glitchy and I can't update with the latest software because I don't have enough available space. HELP!

iPhone 7, iOS 11
