WhatsApp isn’t in the notification list

I have reset location & privacy but it’s still not working. I have updated my WhatsApp but it’s still working. I have upgraded to iOS 15 but it’s still not working, don’t know what else to do, notifications is on both on WhatsApp and settings but I cannot get any WhatsApp notifications until i open my WhatsApp, please what more can i do???

Apparently the problem is with WhatsApp - they are trying to identify the cause of the bug and will undoubtedly issue an update with a fix in due course.

Meanwhile, if you have any problems that contributors to this forum can't solve, you should talk to Apple Support by calling whatever number is applicable to your location, or give Apple direct feedback on your issue so they can escalate to their engineers (Apple does not read these user forums); you can do this by visiting the Apple Feedback page and leaving your comments (Google Apple Feedback if you dont know where to find it).

Thank you your answer worked for me, settings> general> transfer or reset> reset>reset location & privacy, I was going through what iOS might of changed or how WhatsApp differs from other apps on notifications and was considering the reset options, when I came across your answer, spot on 👏 👏👏👍

If you are using an Apple Watch, as I am, your problem may be related to it. Do the following, turn off the iPhone bluetooth (through settings, to completely turn off) to disconnect the iPhone from the Apple Watch and ask someone to send you a message on WhatsApp. If you normally receive notification on your iPhone, the bug is in your Apple Watch. Simply turn the Apple Watch off and on and turn on the iPhone's bluetooth. Everything should be back to normal.

After reset location and privacy ; I didn't find the option in notification panel; at the same time I opened my whatsapp and I get the permission request for add allow in notification panel.

Now its working.

I had the same problem and tried all the ways mentioned here.

finally I solved it by only offloading WhatsApp and reinstalling it (offloading deletes the app but keeps all data and docs you have) then some messages appear and one of them was if you want to get notifications or not, I chose allow and it worked. Now I get notifications of of WhatsApp messages.

Try this:

Start WhatsApp -> Tap Settings -> Notification -> turn it On.

Then go to Settings -> Notifications -> WhatsApp has been added -> Turn it On.

Hello, I fixed the issue just doing the reset option location & privacy.

settings> general> transfer or reset> reset>reset location & privacy.

Do you use Screen Time?

If so, add Watsapp app.

OR (just for a test) => Turn Off Screen Time and look if WhatsApp is add to the list.

I started having this problem after I upgraded to iOS 15. I also performed all of the suggestions in this post so far and nothing works.

Hello me too I have the same trouble of Whatsapp notifications since I downloaded iOS 15. And I tried all what u suggest but nothing works. I contact WhatsApp they said from Apple we can’t do nothing

Maybe you should try uninstalling the WhatsApp app and reinstall it again
