Apple Tv Remote Remotely
Can I use the apple tv remote when away from home? I want to be able to navigate apps and change the channel when away from house. Can I do that?

Not sure what you mean. If you bring your Apple TV with you, yes the remote will work. However it is not a network device therefore it will not communicate with Apple TV if the Apple TV box is at your home and you are at another location.
