some tracks not playing
I've downloaded an Album some tracks play ok some say this computer is not authorised to play 'soandso' Authorise this computer. I do so and still the same problem

That is usually a sign that the few music files for those tracks got corrupted somehow. Delete them on your computer (in iTunes) and then redownload them.
