How can we add devices we have already purchased in to Apple Business Manager? We have roughly 100 iPhones and 30 iPads we have purchased either through EE Business or the channel, neither support ABM.
We devices are all around the world, we do not have access to them to import using ACM and we need to import them into ABM. We are using InTune as our MDM. How do we import them?
This is 100% on EE and 0% on Apple. Apple has provided methods. EE failed to follow them. You can choose a different vendor that supports ABM.
You can't. There are 2 ways to add devices to ABM.
You'll need to physically touch the devices, get the reseller to add them, return the devices, or deal with them not being in ABM.
That's really short sighted of Apple, it looks to be a really great product but we can't really use it because we cannot add devices to it. You would have thought there would be a way you could import devices if your could prove ownership or something.

I agree, although you would have thought there would be nice to be able to add devices that do not come from an Apple reseller, such as through the channel. Your average IT company will not be able to meet the requirements for being an Apple reseller. You would think there would be a mechanism to upload serial numbers and verify on the phones or something.
Thanks for that, unfortunately EE do not support ABM on their business plans only corporate. Although we are eligible for a corporate account, there is no upgrade path within EE, so we are stuck.
There is. It's called Apple Configurator 2. There are plenty of authorized resellers out there. CDW, SHI, IT1, B&H Photo, Adorama, MacMall, Apple, etc. Choose one that supports it, or plan to use Apple Configurator 2. This has always been the way.
