cannot use iPhone as remote for Keynote on iPad

Hi

I cannot use iPhone as remote for Keynote on iPad, I have an iPhone XS and an iPad Air 3 all running the most up to date software & operating system.

When I open Keynote and look for the iPhone or iPad they do not see each other.

Can anyone advise. I have a different iPad since I last used iPhone as a remote to control Keynote on iPad.

Hey Kathy42,

It appears you cannot see your iPhone or iPad when trying to link the two devices to use as a Keynote Remote. Check out the information below as it might be helpful, which is from this article: Use a remote to control a Keynote presentation - Apple Support

"Important: To use an iPhone or iPad with iOS 14 or iPadOS 14 as a remote, Keynote needs permission to connect to other devices on your local network. Go to Settings > Privacy > Local Network, then turn on Keynote."

If you still encounter an issue, you could see if restarting your iPad Air and iPhone XS may help:

Restarting can seem like a simple step, but it can sometimes help resolve issues.

Best wishes.
