Apple TV keeps playing my phone

This happened a few years ago and was resolved, it’s back. Back with a vengeance, because if I throw an AirPod in the tv signals (AirPods nearby) that my earbuds are in use.

New feature delete?

If you don’t have kids or live alone, this may be some sort of magical feature, but if you was check 1 of the 2 boxes I just mentioned, you get called out for ignoring your family when you just need a moment to yourself.

The issue to me lies in the ATV having too much access to your apps. I tuned off the AirPlay hand off feature and that did nothing to address the issue. I have 2 Apple TV’s after cutting the cord, the phone is constantly trying to hand off to the tv and the tv is constantly trying to connect to my AirPods.

I realize that the amount of technology built into these devises is astronomical, but I have 2 Apple TV’s and it’ll be zero if I can not roll back the clock to the previous version that allowed for a little anonymity.

In the market for a new tv and higher end ones come with a way to access all your apple content, so I guess I answered my own question. It works great for the folks that created it, get hip or get out.

i will put away my soap box, for now. But I can’t be the only one having this issue.
