Monterey compatibility with non-Apple internal SSD

My 2015 MacBook Pro with an internal 1 TB Samsung SSD won't upgrade to Monterey OS. This is first time I've ever had an issue upgrading operating systems on my computer. Will later versions of Monterey address this?
