LibreOffice freezes during dictation

I recently purchased my first Mac and a day later installed Monterey and started using LibreOffice, doing dictation using the built-in microphone. The dictation works great, but about 10% of the time when I go to turn off the microphone, LibreOffice freezes up and I have to force quit. I'm not sure if it's an issue specific to Monterey since I didn't use LibreOffice with Big Sur. I did check to see if there were any updates ready to be installed for LibreOffice, but there are not. I thought about installing OpenOffice and trying that, but it looks like their current version doesn't support Monterey. Has anyone else had this problem with LibreOffice freezing during dictation? Any thoughts about how to proceed, other than maybe trying OpenOffice?
