Probably not - the MacBook Air line should still be healthy and alive. Apple just hasn't made a new chip (SoC) for the MacBook Air yet, so it doesn't really make sense for them to make a new model this year with the same M1 chip.

Apple computers are not necessarily updated on an annual basis, unlike iPhones.
