MacBook Air purchased in 2020, no M1 chip

I purchased my MacBook Air in 2020 from Apple. It is the Retina with an Intel Core i5 processor. I see that 2020 is the same year that Apple began selling the MacBook Air with the M1 chip instead. Does anyone know when the MacBook Air Retina was discontinued or no longer sold on the Apple website? I can't seem to find that info anywhere but I'm curious to know if they were both being sold at the same time. There's an app I really want to download on my laptop that is only compatible with the M1chip.
