why cant i download apps from my phone onto my mac

Quite a while ago we were able to get certain apps that were used only on our phones for our MacBook computers. Example, like cross road and Among us. Those apps aren't available in the MacBook App Store. However with the recent Big Sur update you were able to download them. So my question is, why is it not working for my computer?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

This is an Intel Computer and thus that answers the question. Intel can not run iOS Application even if the computer is running Big Sur and / or Monterey.

That ability is or was offered only for Apple Silicon CPUs
