How do i clear my container because I dont know what it is and it taking up my whole storage?

I barely have apps on my laptop but for some reason, it is saying I don't have enough space on my mac. It's a 128GB mac so there's no reason for it to be filled up. I saw something about other volumes in the container. Please how do I clear it to free up space on my mac?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

The internal Drive is the smallest capacity drive sold by Apple.

So whatever is on the drive, it will have to be carefully manages.

Applications do use space, so does documents, pictures, music, movies, podcasts and iPhone backups.

What is “Other” storage on a Mac, and how can I clean it out?

Free up storage space on your Mac

OmniDiskSweeper Safe to use

How to delete Time Machine snapshots on your Mac

See used and available storage space on your Mac

The final word from Apple on Managing the " Other " Category

  • Other: Contains files that don’t fall into the categories listed here. This category primarily includes files and data used by the system, such as log files, caches, VM files, and other runtime system resources. Also included are temporary files, fonts, app support files, and plug-ins. You can't manage the contents of this category. The contents are managed by macOS, and the category varies in size depending on the current state of your Mac.
