I'm running the trial version of Final Cut Pro. I have current up to-date Mac Book Pro. I've been creating a project to test out the capabilities and twice now the project has disappeared when I reopened FCP. I restarted the project and was able to work on it several times, closing the PCP and coming back to it later but again it disappeared. Is this normal for the trial?

It is a bit unclear if the project actually disappear or if you are having trouble navigating the application interface.

Don't take this the wrong way, there is a learning curve and some things often trip beginners, I have been there too.

I suggest you take some time and follow the excellent free tutorial by Izzyvideo. It will make a lot of things clear and will avoid many moments of frustration. Izzy is a wonderful teacher and you can follow along.

I think it will help you a lot.
