How do I update my iPhone 6 to a current iOS

I have an iPhone 6s with iOS 12.5.5. My bank has just decided to force me to use a new app for mobile banking that only works on iOS 13.0. How do I get it easily without having to jump through hoops

The iPhone 6 is not compatible with iOS 13 or higher.
